An asphalt emulsion that provides a bond between an existing base pavement layer and a newly applied layer of asphalt.
Applied using an asphalt distributor, the surface is prepared for hot mix asphalt as the tack coat provides the bonding needed to prevent slippage and ensure sound structural performance of the entire pavement.
