QEW Highway Expansion – Completion 2022
Ministry of Transportation, Fort Erie
Materials from Walker’s Niagara sites will have been used by the time the QEW expansion project in Fort Erie is complete in 2022. Walker Construction crews will also take part in this project after being awarded the paving contract.
Sherkston Resort Expansion – Completion 2021
Sherkston Shores
An expansion project at Sherkston Shores Resort & Campground used 50mm & 19mm Crusher Run from Walker’s Niagara sites. The paving contract has also been awarded to Walker Construction.
Canada Summer Games Complex – Completion 2022
Canada Summer Games, Thorold
Various types of stone from our Niagara sites are being used to build the complex, track, parking lot and site servicing works for the Canada Summer Games in St. Catharines/Thorold.
University of Windsor, St. Denis Centre – Completion 2020
University of Windsor, Windsor
Our Essex quarries provided fines and stone for an artificial turf area as well as a safe disposal site for stone removed during construction.
Peche Island Improvements – Completion 2021
Peche Island, Windsor
Armour stone and oversized rock from our Essex sites is being used at Peche Island to help protect the shoreline from erosion in order to preserve the local landmark’s beautiful trails, wildlife and fish habitat.
Cookstown Travel Centre – Completion 2021
Simcoe County
Severn Quarry is providing stone for construction of the new Cookstown Travel Centre building at Highway 400 and Highway 89 in Simcoe.
Veterans Way Reconstruction
Wasaga Beach
Duntroon Quarry supplied Gran A, Gran B and Gabion stone for the reconstruction of the sewer lines and road along Veterans Way.
Mewburn Bridge Rebuild – Completion 2019
Niagara Falls/Niagara-On-The-Lake
Walker’s Niagara sites supplied aggregate to rebuild the Mewburn Bridge that connects Niagara Falls to Niagara-On-The-Lake.
New Police Headquarters – Completion 2021
St. Catharines
Our Niagara quarries supplied stone for the building of the Police Headquarters in St. Catharines.
